haushepherd was contacted by the property owner interested in terracing a hillslope to develop more usable land for landscaping and other outdoor features.

haushepherd produced designs for a series of tiered steel post and wood lagging walls to achieve this goal in one area of the side yard. In an area for a more substantial cut into the slope; a reinforced concrete wall was designed. A third wall system was utilized elsewhere comprised of masonry block units.

haushepherd provided necessary calculations to justify the designs and plan drawings for use by the homeowner and contractor to construct the project.

Construction began in October 2023.
