haushepherd was contacted by a homeowner during an ongoing remodel project when a beam was discovered to be protruding upward into an existing hallway that had previously been masked by a step in the flooring that the owner was planning to remove. Given the structural implications that removal of the beam could have on the house, we were called out to perform a site visit and assess the appropriate and safe modification.
