At the forefront of residential engineering inspections, we recognize the critical importance of an on-site assessment by a licensed engineer where the structural integrity of a house is in question. haushepherd provides homeowners and real estate buyers with meticulous assessments to fully understand the condition of their current or potential new home. This generally includes a full interior, exterior, and crawlspace investigation to identify any deficiencies and provide detailed repair recommendations along with cost estimates and contractor referrals.
Foundation & Drainage
The full on-site service package. Includes the following:

Walk through of the interior and exterior of the property to document any deficiencies or signs of structural distress and water related impacts to the structure

Floor elevation survey to determine levelness and understand any past movement of the structure

Inspection of the crawlspace for evaluation of all visible aspects of the structure, determine seismic detailing, and understand any moisture related issues

Deliverables include a verbal debrief on site and a written report within 3 business days including repair recommendations, cost estimates, and resources to guide you in future improvements.
Drainage Only
A more limited scope inspection including the following:

Walk of the exterior of the property to document any inadequacies regarding the layout from a drainage perspective and potential or visible impacts of water to the structure

Inspection of the crawlspace for evaluation of any moisture related issues

Deliverables include a verbal debrief on site and a written report within 3 business days including repair recommendations, cost estimates, and resources to guide you in future improvements.
Retaining Wall
A more limited scope inspection including the following:

Walk of the exterior of the property to document all retaining walls on the site

Documentation of wall distress, movement, or other needs for improvement from a structural or drainage perspective
